Mike Teasdale from Harvest Digital created this great presentation on thinking creatively about Email. According to Mike it’s time to take email more seriously and recognize that it is hard to get it right. To get it right a good first impression is absolutely necessary. Mike describes the Email’s Golden Triangle: Subject line, From field and Auto-preview screen. Next step is to make it personal. Ask questions to receivers, it’s a conversation! And be persuasive, which doesn’t mean being ‘salesy’. Keep things simple, short and scannable and most important: Know when to Shut Up! An interesting slide deck with eleven rules for great email campaigns.
